Mediterranean Salmon Pasta

Try this Linguine with Crispy Salmon & Tomato Caper Sauce
This linguine with crispy salmon is one of those easy pasta dishes that feels a little special without requiring much effort. The salmon is cooked in the air fryer with lemon, olive oil, and Herbes de Provence until beautifully crisp on the outside, while the pasta is tossed with a simple homemade tomato and caper sauce and olive oil.
I love using fresh marzano tomatoes for the sauce but you can use beef tomatoes also. Cooking them slowly with onion and garlic concentrates their flavor, and blending them with capers gives the sauce a delicious salty, Mediterranean touch. The crispy pieces of salmon on top finish the dish perfectly.
Why I Love This Recipe?
The combination of crispy salmon and creamy tomato sauce makes this pasta feel much more indulgent than it actually is. The capers add just enough saltiness, while the lemon and Herbes de Provence keep the flavors fresh and Mediterranean.
It is also a great way to make a beautiful dinner with a handful of simple ingredients.

kcalFarfalle with crispy air-fried salmon and homemade tomato caper sauce. An easy, flavorful pasta recipe made with fresh tomatoes, garlic, lemon, olive oil, and Herbes de Provence. Perfect for a simple weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
7 oz (200 g) linguine pasta
2 salmon fillets, about 5 oz (140 g) each
2 medium tomatoes
½ small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1½ tbsp capers
2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
½ lemon
1 tsp Herbes de Provence, plus more to taste
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Directions
- Cook the pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the farfalle for about 12 minutes, or until al dente. Reserve a little pasta water before draining. - Cook the salmon
Place the salmon in the air fryer. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then season with Herbes de Provence, salt, and pepper. Air fry for about 15 minutes, until cooked through and crispy on the outside. - Make the tomato sauce
Chop the tomatoes and cook them in a pan with olive oil, chopped onion, and garlic. Cook for about 15 minutes, until the tomatoes soften and most of their water has evaporated. - Blend the sauce
Transfer the cooked tomato mixture to a food processor. Add the capers and a little more Herbes de Provence. Blend until smooth. - Combine and serve
Toss the farfalle with the tomato and caper sauce. Break the crispy salmon into pieces and add it on top. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil, parmesan and serve immediately.
